Attachment MOD permission problem!

Post by abdulbasit » Sun Mar 02, 2008 4:29 pm

Hello everyone,

I need some help. I have installed Attachment MOD 2.4.1 and the problem is that whatever is uploaded in files folder through Attachment MOD, the file permission is set 666 by default whereas it should be set to 644.

Can anyone please guide me how to tweak settings in this MOD or on my server to make the default file permission of files folder as 644 because 666 permission is a threat for my community.

Hope someone can help me sorting this problem.

Thanks a bunch :)

As mentioned over on phpBB there's not much you can do about this one. The mod itself doesn't assign the file privs. I heard someone mention that you can use the FTP option and upload that way to keep the file permissions but as I also mentioned I'm not sure that you can directly modify a file that has permissions of 666 when the directory has permissions of 644. Have you seen a security breach?
