Thanks David for your hard work in maintaining this site.
I was a little unclear as to if your files were suitable for updating a forum with no other mods. Here is what happened:
I had an existing forum that was version 2.0.21, it's only mod being the Attachment mod.
I obtained the basic forum replacement files for version
2.0.22 and installed them and then installed the premodified attachment mod files for the latest phpBB release (2.0.22) from your site, and ran installer/update_to_latest.php
Everything seems to be working smoothly except I no longer have the option to attach files when posting. the admin section has attachment options there and I can see existing attachments in posts.
Was it possible for updgrade in this manner or do I need it another way?
This is the site in question:

ideas
I tried replacing the posting.php file with the version from your site and also made sure that attachments are enabled in the admin panel.
Is there anything else that might be causing this?

glitches
Was this the most correct way to upgrade a previously (attachment) mod'ed forum to 2.0.22?
If I have to remove the mod and restore the forum to no mod status, can I then re-install the mod and re-upload files to the files directory and have the old attachemnts show in existing posts, or will the users loose all data if we do that?

It all seems correct to me:
1. Upgrade forum to 2.0.22 by replacing old forum files with the new ones
2. Upload premodified 2.0.22 attachment mod files replacing the files
3. Run installer/update_to_latest.php
4. Done
If you do what you last stated that would be ok as well as long as you don't touch the database and don't delete the config.php file nor the files directory.
